Overview
The K-1775-BN-IPEWP is a VoIP entry phone system engineered for demanding exterior door-control deployments where weather exposure, vandal risk, and multi-credential access converge in a single unit. This oil-rubbed bronze model packs a built-in analog color camera, a 125KHz proximity card reader, a dialing keypad, and full Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) into one flush- or surface-mount assembly — eliminating the need to coordinate separate intercom, reader, and camera devices at the door. The EWP board protection allows operation in humidity up to 100% condensing, making it the correct choice over the standard K-1775-BN-IP wherever rain-driven or wash-down conditions are a concern. Telephone line powered operation means no separate power supply run to the door — the POTS or VoIP line carries both signaling and device power, simplifying rough-in on retrofit jobs. Fits flush with the included rough-in box (4.5" × 5.5" × 2.5") or surface-mounts with an optional VE-6x7 enclosure.
Compatibility
The proximity reader outputs 26-bit Wiegand at 125KHz, making it directly compatible with the Viking ES-1 door controller, the Viking C-4000 door controller, and any third-party access control panel that accepts standard 26-bit Wiegand input. The VoIP calling functionality integrates with SIP-based phone systems; consult the Viking Electronics product manual (K-1775-3 Series) for SIP provisioning requirements. For surface-mount installation, pair with the Viking VE-6x7 enclosure — not included. The camera output (6–22V DC, 150mA) connects to any analog video surveillance input accepting composite video; it is not an IP camera stream. Card reader range is 1.25" to 2.0", suited for standard proximity fob or card presentation at the door frame.
Installation Notes
Mount flush using the included rough-in box (4.5" × 5.5" × 2.5") or surface-mount with the optional VE-6x7. Overall unit dimensions are 5.5" × 6.5" × 2.6". Maximum telephone wire run is 1,000 ft — beyond that, audio and power integrity degrade. Camera tilt adjusts ±20° vertically and ±30° horizontally to align the 100° diagonal (80° horizontal) FOV after mounting. Operating temperature range is -40°F to 140°F for the camera and -30°F to 150°F for the overall unit environmental envelope; the EWP variant handles up to 100% condensing humidity where the standard board is rated only to 95% non-condensing. Speaker output is 70 dB maximum at 1 meter — adequate for outdoor vestibule use but verify against ambient noise levels in high-traffic entries. REN is 0.5A; confirm your VoIP ATA or line card supports this load.
