Description

Viking Electronics K-1775-BN-IP VoIP Entry Phone with Proximity Reader and Analog Video

Overview

The Viking Electronics K-1775-BN-IP consolidates four functions — SIP-based VoIP audio, analog color video, 125KHz proximity card reading, and a heavy-duty metal keypad — into a single flush- or surface-mount faceplate. This model delivers the same capability set as the standard K-1775-IP but in an oil-rubbed bronze finish, making it the right specification for hospitality, residential high-rise, or commercial entry points where a brushed stainless finish would clash with the architectural hardware. The 14-gauge louvered 316 stainless steel faceplate provides genuine structural resistance to attack; permanent laser-etched graphics eliminate the peeling overlays common on lower-grade panels. Install the K-1775-BN-IP flush using the included rough-in box, or surface-mount it using the optional VE-6x7 back box — useful when core drilling isn't feasible in retrofit installs.

Compatibility

The built-in 125KHz 26-bit Wiegand proximity reader outputs industry-standard data compatible with a wide range of door controllers. Viking-verified controllers include the Viking ES-1 and C-4000. Any third-party access control panel that accepts standard 26-bit Wiegand input — including panels from common enterprise access control platforms — will integrate without additional hardware. The analog color camera output connects to any video entry system or DVR/NVR accepting a standard composite video signal. SIP audio integrates with VoIP phone systems and IP-PBX platforms compatible with the K-1775-IP Series; consult the Viking K-1775-IP Series documentation to verify your PBX or SIP server against the validated compatibility list.

Installation Notes

Flush mounting uses the included rough-in box — plan rough-in dimensions before drywall close-in on new construction. Surface mounting requires the optional VE-6x7 back box, sold separately. The 26-bit Wiegand card reader output requires a four-conductor run to the door controller (DATA0, DATA1, ground, and LED/beeper lines); run this separately from the SIP network cable. The EWP (extreme weather protection) board is built into the reader circuit — this unit is rated for outdoor entry applications, but verify local code requirements for exposed outdoor electronics in your climate zone.
