The K-1705-BN-IPEWP is a flush- or surface-mount VoIP entry phone system combining a heavy-duty metal keypad, analog color video camera, and oil-rubbed bronze 316 stainless steel finish. It targets commercial and multi-tenant entry control deployments where a single device must handle SIP calling, keypad-based access codes, card reader integration, and video verification without a separate intercom controller. It ships with a rough-in box for flush mounting; surface mounting requires an optional VE-6x7 accessory. The EWP designation raises humidity tolerance to 100% and delivers IP66 ingress protection, making this the correct variant for covered exterior vestibules, parking structures, and coastal environments — anywhere condensation or driving rain is a regular condition.
Compatibility
The K-1705-BN-IPEWP connects to any SIP 2.0 (RFC 3261) compliant IP PBX, hosted VoIP platform, or SIP-capable access control system. It draws power from any IEEE 802.3af PoE switch or midspan injector (Class 2, under 6.5W) — no supplemental power supply needed as long as your switch port delivers standard PoE. The integrated 26-bit Wiegand input accepts credentials from external card readers (HID, HID-compatible, and most access control panels using 26-bit Wiegand). The dual SPDT relay contacts (2A each) can drive electric strikes, mag-locks, or gate controllers directly. Store up to 1,000 keyless entry codes, 1,000 card numbers, and 250 programmable directory numbers with 250 rollover numbers — sized for mid-to-large multi-tenant buildings. Audio codecs G.711u, G.711a, and G.722 align with standard SIP endpoints and most hosted PBX services.
