Overview
The ATEN VE170RQ is the receiver unit for the VE170 VGA-over-Cat5e/6 extension system, designed to place displays at distances that standard VGA cables cannot reach. In deployments where monitors, projectors, or signage displays must be located away from the source equipment — security operations centers, digital signage installations, presentation rooms, or remote workstation setups — the VE170RQ terminates the Cat5e/6 run and reconstructs the VGA signal at the display end. Its built-in deskew compensation corrects the color-channel timing shifts that accumulate over longer cable runs, which is the primary cause of blurry or color-fringed images at distance. Compatibility
The VE170RQ is the receiver half of the ATEN VE170 VGA Cat5e/6 extender pair and requires the companion ATEN VE170L transmitter at the source end.
