Overview

The ATEN VE802R is a compact HDBaseT Lite receiver designed for short-distance extension of HDMI and IR signals. It consolidates signal transmission over a single RJ-45 cable, simplifying installations where AV sources and displays are in close proximity, such as within a single rack or across a small workspace. This unit is intended to receive content from a compatible HDBaseT Lite transmitter.

Compatibility

This receiver unit is designed to work with ATEN HDBaseT Lite transmitters. It requires a direct RJ-45 connection to the transmitter. It is not compatible with standard HDBaseT extenders or other AV distribution systems that do not adhere to the HDBaseT Lite protocol.

Installation Notes

The VE802R supports a maximum transmission distance of 3 meters. Ensure the RJ-45 connection between the transmitter and receiver is made using Cat5e or Cat6 cabling for optimal performance. The operating humidity range is 0–80% RH, non-condensing. The unit dimensions without bracket are 13.60 x 10.10 x 2.90 cm (5.35 x 3.98 x 1.14 in.), weighing 0.46 kg (1.01 lb).
