Description

ATEN VE901R DisplayPort HDBaseT Lite Receiver

Overview

The ATEN VE901R is a HDBaseT Lite receiver designed to extend DisplayPort video signals over a single Cat 5e/6 or Cat 6a cable. This unit pairs with a compatible transmitter to deliver high-resolution video up to 4K or 1080p to remote displays. The VE901R is ideal for digital signage, conference rooms, and command centers where long-reach video distribution is required without signal degradation.

Compatibility

This receiver supports ATEN transmitters and other HDBaseT Lite compliant devices. It is rated for up to 4K resolutions (4096 x 2160 / 3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz, 4:4:4) at distances up to 35 meters using Cat 5e/6 cable, or up to 40 meters using Cat 6a or ATEN 2L-2910 Cat6 cable. For 1080p resolutions, it can extend signals up to 60 meters over Cat 5e/6, and up to 70 meters over Cat 6a or ATEN 2L-2910 Cat6 cable. The system requires a DisplayPort transmitter and Cat 6 or higher cabling for optimal performance.

Installation Notes

The VE901R is designed for straightforward integration. It connects to the remote display via its DisplayPort output and to the network infrastructure via its RJ-45 port, which receives the signal from the transmitter. It operates within a humidity range of 0-80% RH, non-condensing. The unit has impedance of 100 Ω, standard for Ethernet-based transmission. Ensure proper cable termination and routing to maintain signal integrity over extended distances.
