Overview
The ATEN VE802 is a HDBaseT Lite extender designed to transmit HDMI signals over a single Cat5e/6 cable, extending your reach up to 230 feet. This unit is ideal for scenarios where you need to place displays or projectors further from the source, such as in conference rooms, auditoriums, or digital signage deployments. Its compact form factor and Power over HDBaseT (PoH) capability simplify installation by reducing the need for separate power supplies at both the transmitter and receiver ends.
Compatibility
This VE802 transmitter is engineered to work with compatible HDBaseT Lite receivers. It supports the transmission of standard HDMI signals, including video and audio. For full system compatibility, ensure the connected receiver is also HDBaseT Lite compliant and supports the desired resolution and features. The unit to unit connection utilizes an RJ-45 female port, standard for Ethernet cabling infrastructure.
Installation Notes
The VE802 supports Power over HDBaseT (PoH), meaning it can receive power from a compatible PoH-enabled receiver or provide power to a compatible PoH receiver, simplifying cable runs. The maximum transmission distance is rated at 3 meters (approximately 9.8 feet) for IR signals, but the HDMI signal can extend up to 230 feet over Cat5e/6. The operating humidity range is 0 - 80% RH, non-condensing, suitable for most indoor environments. It includes a mini stereo jack for IR signal pass-through, enabling remote control of source devices.
