Overview

The ATEN CE801 is a Cat 6 KVM extender designed to transmit True 4K HDMI video and USB signals over a single twisted-pair cable. This unit is ideal for extending control of a server or computer to a remote console in environments where direct cable runs are impractical, such as control rooms, data centers, or digital signage deployments. The CE801R model specifically supports rack mounting for integration into standard server racks.

Compatibility

This extender is designed to work with ATEN's CE801 series extenders. It transmits video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz (4:3)/(16:9) and 720p @ 50/60 Hz. The remote HDMI output supports 1600 x 1200 @ 60 Hz. It requires a Cat 6 cable for optimal performance and signal integrity up to 100 meters.

Installation Notes

The CE801 requires a Cat 6 cable for connection between the local and remote units. The operating humidity range is 0-80% RH, non-condensing. The unit features an RJ-45 connector for the Cat 6 link and a console status indicator.
