Overview
The ATEN CE100 is a compact USB KVM extender designed to provide remote access to a computer's keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) signals over a standard Cat 5e or Cat 6 Ethernet cable. This unit is ideal for scenarios where you need to place a computer in a secure, climate-controlled environment while operating it from a remote console up to 100 meters away. The CE100 facilitates cleaner installations by reducing cable clutter and allowing for flexible placement of equipment, commonly used in server rooms, control centers, or industrial automation setups where the CE100R function is leveraged.
Compatibility
This extender is compatible with standard USB keyboards and mice, and supports video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz at 30 meters, and 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz at its maximum range of 100 meters. It requires a Cat 5e or Cat 6 UTP cable for signal transmission. The unit features one RJ-45 female port for the remote connection.
Installation Notes
The ATEN CE100 operates reliably within a humidity range of 0–80% RH, non-condensing. It features a single knob switch for operational control and a power indicator LED. For rack-mounted installations, be aware that dimensions may be expressed in LxWxH format. Ensure the use of quality Cat 5e or Cat 6 cabling for optimal performance and signal integrity over the extended distance.
