Overview
The UACC-OFC-M2-LULU-5M is a 5-meter indoor OM4 multimode fiber patch cable terminated with duplex LC UPC connectors. This cable handles rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections in data center and enterprise network environments. OM4 fiber delivers higher bandwidth over shorter distances than OM3 — useful when you're consolidating infrastructure in a confined cabinet footprint and need headroom for future upgrades without running new plant.
Compatibility
Designed for Ubiquiti fiber-enabled network equipment and switches with duplex LC UPC interfaces. Verify your target equipment features duplex LC UPC (not LC APC, not single-mode) before ordering. Common compatible deployments include Ubiquiti fiber modules and data center switches in standard 19-inch cabinet installations.
Installation Notes
Indoor use only — keep away from direct sunlight and moisture exposure. OM4 multimode cables are durable but require standard fiber handling: avoid sharp bends (minimum bend radius ~30mm), do not exceed typical pulling tension during installation, and cap or cover unused connector ends to prevent dust ingress that could degrade signal quality. If you are migrating from existing OM3 plant, OM4 is backward-compatible with OM3 equipment and transceivers, though you won't gain the full bandwidth advantage unless both ends support OM4.
