The UE306 is a compact, foldable USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet adapter designed for mobile and field-based network access. Deploy this when your endpoint (laptop, tablet, or thin client) lacks a wired network port but requires stable Ethernet connectivity for IP surveillance configuration, asset tagging, or integration work on-site. The foldable form factor fits easily into a technician's kit alongside cabling and diagnostic tools.
The UE306 connects via SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to any modern computer or portable device with a USB 3.0 or USB-C port (adapter required for USB-C). It bridges to standard RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet cabling, making it compatible with any network infrastructure — switches, PoE injectors, NVRs, and IP camera management interfaces. No special drivers required on Windows, macOS, or Linux systems released within the last 5 years.
Plug the USB connector into your endpoint device and connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port. The adapter auto-negotiates link speed with the network. No external power required — USB 3.0 bus power is sufficient. Store the adapter in its folded position to protect the connector during transport in field bags or vehicle kits.
If you require Gigabit performance over distances exceeding standard Ethernet limits, consider fiber-optic media converters or industrial-grade PoE extenders. If your endpoint lacks USB 3.0 (older tablets, industrial PDAs), verify compatibility with USB 2.0 variants in the TP-Link portable adapter line before purchasing.
