Description

TP-Link TL-SF1009P 9-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch with 8-Port PoE+

Overview

The TL-SF1009P is a compact unmanaged network switch designed for small-to-mid-scale security and access control installations where PoE power delivery is required. Eight of nine ports support PoE+, allowing you to power IP cameras, wireless access points, and other PoE-capable endpoints directly from the switch without separate PoE injectors. The 10/100Mbps port speed is suitable for standard-definition and HD video streams under moderate bandwidth conditions; expect saturation on all eight PoE ports simultaneously only if throughput per camera remains under 5–8 Mbps (typical for 1080p H.264 or lower resolution streams). Desktop form factor fits standard 19-inch rack shelves or sits inline in a cabinet without requiring dedicated DIN-rail mounting hardware.

Compatibility

Works with any device accepting standard PoE or PoE+ input: IP cameras from TP-Link and other vendors, IP-based access control readers, 802.11ac/n wireless access points, and VoIP phones. No configuration required—unmanaged design means plug-and-play operation with automatic MAC learning and spanning-tree bypass for simple topologies. The single uplink port (port 9) can serve as a trunk to upstream network infrastructure or connect to a POE-capable NVR for centralized video recording.
