TP-Link TL-POE10R PoE Splitter Adapter
The TL-POE10R is an IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE splitter that decouples power and data from a single Ethernet cable, allowing you to run legacy or non-PoE devices (wireless access points, IP cameras, IP phones, badge readers) over long cable runs without separate power conduit. It accepts 48V PoE input on one RJ-45 connector and outputs selectable DC voltage (5V, 9V, or 12V via slide switch) plus data-only Ethernet on separate connectors — solving the installation problem where your PoE switch or injector is in a distant cabinet and you need to avoid running two cables through conduit to a remote device.
Compatibility
The TL-POE10R works with any IEEE 802.3af PSE (Power Source Equipment): TP-Link switches (T2600G-28MPS, TL-SF1008P), PoE injectors (TL-POE150S), or standalone PoE sources that supply 48V. It terminates on the device end, so your connected equipment must accept one of the three DC voltage outputs (5V, 9V, or 12V) and standard Ethernet data. Verify your target device's power input range before selection; mismatch causes malfunction or damage. The splitter does not negotiate voltage with the device — you set it manually at installation.
Installation Notes
Connect the RJ-45 PoE input to your switch or injector, then route the output Ethernet and DC power to your remote device using the bundled connectors. Supports up to 100 meters (328 feet) on Cat 5/5e or better; voltage drop increases with cable length and quality — verify your device tolerates input variance if runs approach maximum distance. Operating range 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). The adapter includes short-circuit protection, over-voltage lockout, and under-voltage detection; these shut down the power output if input conditions exceed safe limits. No configuration or external power required — truly plug-and-play once voltage output is selected.
