Compatibility
The TL-POE260S pairs with any IP camera, wireless access point, or networked device rated for 802.3af (15.4W max) or 802.3at (30W max) PoE input. No device-specific model compatibility required — protocol compliance determines pairing eligibility. Verify the endpoint's power budget and connector type (standard RJ-45) before deployment.
Installation Notes
The injector carries both data and power over a single Ethernet run up to 100 meters (328 feet). Use standard Cat5e or Cat6 cabling; higher-grade cable does not improve PoE delivery but reduces insertion loss on data paths. Connect the non-PoE input port to a network source (NVR, switch, or router); connect the PoE output port to the powered endpoint. No configuration or power supply management required — the adapter handles power injection passively across all supported IEEE standards.
