Description

TP-Link TL-PA4010 KIT AV600 Powerline Ethernet Adapter Starter Kit

Overview

The TL-PA4010 KIT is a dual-unit powerline Ethernet adapter set that bridges network connections over your building's existing electrical wiring. Each adapter pair delivers up to 600Mbps AV600 datarate, translating to 100Mbps Fast Ethernet output — sufficient for single or low-bandwidth PoE camera feeds where cabling through walls or conduit is impractical. This kit solves last-mile connectivity in older buildings, warehouses, or multi-floor installations where running Cat5e/Cat6 is cost-prohibitive or impossible.

Compatibility

The TL-PA4010 KIT works with any IP surveillance device or network equipment requiring standard 100Mbps Ethernet connectivity. Pair it with single-camera PoE setups, legacy DVRs, or network switches that need wired extension across electrical circuits. Verify that both locations share the same electrical phase or main breaker panel; cross-phase powerline adapters may see significantly reduced throughput. Compatible with all HomePlug AV-certified devices on the same circuit.

Installation Notes

Plug both adapters directly into wall outlets on the same electrical branch or phase. Avoid power strips, surge protectors, or switched outlets — use only dedicated wall sockets for optimal signal. Allow 30–60 seconds after powering both units for pairing and synchronization. The compact form factor minimizes outlet obstruction, but verify space before installation near furnishings or heat-generating equipment. No additional tools or configuration required beyond standard Ethernet patch cables at each end.
