Overview
The EAP613 is a dual-band 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) ceiling-mounted access point designed for enterprise deployments where centralized PoE power and wired backhaul are available. It delivers 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz — total 1.8 Gbps across both bands — with 4-stream MU-MIMO and OFDMA to handle dense client loads without saturation. A single Gigabit RJ45 port accepts either 802.3af/at PoE or 12VDC, eliminating separate power infrastructure. This is the entry-level Wi-Fi 6 choice for multi-floor office buildings, light warehouses, and retail spaces where you need 802.11ax performance without premium-tier complexity.
Compatibility
The EAP613 integrates into any TP-Link Omada-managed network via the Omada Controller (cloud or on-premises) or standalone Omada app. It works alongside other TP-Link 802.11ax and 802.11ac access points in the same deployment to extend coverage without loss of centralized management. Band steering, seamless roaming, and load balancing work across the entire Omada ecosystem — no per-AP tuning required. PoE power delivery requires either a 12VDC power adapter (not included), an 802.3af-compliant injector, or a PoE-enabled switch; verify your power sourcing before ordering. Supports 250+ concurrent clients and covers up to 1,250 ft² per unit.
Installation Notes
Designed for standard ceiling box mounting with included junction box kit. Gigabit port must connect to a wired network with either PoE or DC power available at the mount location — no battery backup, no wireless uplink. Supports Omada Mesh in mixed deployments, but wired backhaul is preferred for performance. Reset and pairing handled via Omada app or web interface; no physical buttons on the unit itself. Verify PoE switch or injector can deliver 12W+ before final installation.
