Overview

The CPE510 is a fixed outdoor 5GHz wireless access point designed for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint long-range transmission where wired backhaul is unavailable or cost-prohibitive. The 27dBm transmit power paired with a 13dBi directional antenna extends usable range significantly compared to omnidirectional units, reducing multipath interference on point-to-point links—a critical advantage for warehouse-to-office backhaul, temporary site links, or last-mile broadband extension. The 2T2R antenna configuration on the 5GHz band (802.11a/n) delivers 300Mbps nominal throughput, adequate for streaming and moderate-bandwidth remote monitoring without saturation. Passive PoE power delivery eliminates the need for AC power runs to remote mounting locations; a single Ethernet cable carries both data and power.

Compatibility

The CPE510 operates as a standalone outdoor access point or WISP client router and integrates into multi-site deployments via TDMA (time-division multiple access) and central control features. It pairs with standard PoE injectors and network infrastructure supporting passive PoE power delivery. Line-of-sight orientation between units is essential for reliable performance; the directional antenna design makes it unsuitable for mobile or omnidirectional coverage scenarios.

Installation Notes

Mount the CPE510 at height and with clear line-of-sight orientation to the remote access point or bridge. The sealed outdoor enclosure tolerates rain, dust, and UV exposure without additional protective housing. High-sensitivity receiver supports reliable links even at distance or partial signal blockage. Avoid obstructed or heavily wooded paths; 5GHz band performance degrades significantly with foliage or structural interference. A passive PoE injector (not included) provides power; verify PoE injector compatibility before installation.
