The CPE510 is a fixed outdoor 5GHz wireless access point and WISP client router designed for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint long-range transmission in areas where wired backhaul is unavailable or cost-prohibitive. The 27dBm transmit power combined with a 13dBi directional antenna delivers extended range suitable for warehouse outdoor perimeter coverage, temporary site links, or last-mile broadband extension. The 2T2R (2 transmit, 2 receive) antenna configuration on the 5GHz band (802.11a/n) provides 300Mbps throughput. Passive PoE injector power delivery eliminates the need for AC power runs to remote mounting locations.
Frequency & Power: 5GHz 802.11a/n with 27dBm transmit power and 13dBi directional antenna gain — extends usable range significantly compared to omnidirectional units, reducing multipath interference on point-to-point links. Throughput: 300Mbps nominal data rate supports streaming and moderate-bandwidth remote monitoring without saturation. Operating Modes: Supports TDMA (time-division multiple access) and central control features, enabling managed network topology in multi-site deployments. Power: Passive PoE simplifies installation — single Ethernet cable carries both data and power, avoiding separate DC barrel connectors or AC infrastructure at the access point location. Weatherproofing: Sealed outdoor enclosure tolerates rain, dust, and UV exposure without special protective housing. High-sensitivity receiver supports reliable links even at distance or in partial signal blockage scenarios.
Best suited for fixed outdoor bridges between buildings, warehouse-to-office backhaul, or WISP provider edge links where 5GHz band spectrum is available and unobstructed line-of-sight is achievable. The directional antenna makes it less suitable for mobile or omnidirectional coverage; orientation and mounting height are critical to performance. Integrates with enterprise network switch infrastructure via standard Ethernet and passive PoE midspan or injector.
