The AP7650 is a wall-mounted AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 access point built into a standard-sized wall plate—the right choice when you need wireless coverage in office corridors, hospitality suites, or meeting rooms without adding visible ceiling or pole-mounted hardware. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports let you connect wired devices (IP phones, displays, access control readers) while simultaneously serving as a Wi-Fi uplink and PoE passthrough source for downstream powered devices. The AP7650 integrates with the TP-Link Omada SDN controller for centralized management across multi-site deployments.

Overview

Delivers 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz—a combined 2976 Mbps theoretical maximum. Powered via 802.3af/at PoE (standard power injector or PoE-enabled switch port), so no separate DC supply runs through the wall. Supports up to 250+ concurrent clients per band, band steering to push dual-band capable devices toward the less congested 5 GHz channel, and PPSK (Personal Pre-Shared Key) for guest isolation without per-device manual configuration. Internal 2x2 MIMO antennas (2x 3 dBi at 2.4 GHz, 2x 5 dBi at 5 GHz) are tuned for indoor wall-plate mounting—coverage is strong within 50–100 feet depending on obstacles.

Compatibility

The AP7650 works as a standalone access point or integrates with the Omada SDN ecosystem (requires Omada Controller or Omada Cloud). PoE passthrough supports any standard 802.3af/at powered device on the downstream ports. No firmware restrictions on mixing with other Omada models (AP9670, AP9650, AP9635, AP8635-I).

Installation Notes

Mounting kit (wall plate brackets and fasteners) is included. Requires a single RJ45 run to either a PoE switch port or inline PoE injector on the uplink port. Four Gigabit downstream ports can daisy-chain additional PoE devices or connect wired clients. Operating temperature range is 0°C–40°C; keep away from direct HVAC discharge. The wall-plate form factor fits standard dual-gang or single-gang electrical boxes depending on regional installation standards.
