STI STI-6200 Theft Stopper Lock Strike
Overview
The STI-6200 is a compact 9VDC electric strike designed for standalone or networked door access control installations where space is tight and building power is unavailable. Measuring 5 W x 5 H x 2 in. D, it fits standard door frame strike pockets without extensive modification. Powered by a 9VDC alkaline battery, it operates independently of permanent power infrastructure—a practical choice for retrofit deployments, auxiliary doors, or emergency exits where a separate access control signal line runs to the strike but permanent 24VDC wiring is impractical.
Compatibility
The STI-6200 is compatible with access control systems and lock controllers that output a 9VDC strike activation signal. Verify your control panel or lock controller provides 9VDC relay output or hardwired trigger before ordering. Door frame preparation must accommodate the strike pocket dimensions (5 W x 2 in. D); measure your existing strike cavity or door frame depth prior to installation. Suitable for wood, metal, or composite door frames in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.
Installation Notes
Install the strike into the door frame strike pocket aligned with the latch bolt path. Secure with fasteners appropriate to your frame material (wood screws for wood frames, bolts for metal frames). Wire the 9VDC control signal from your access control panel or relay to the strike's input terminals—polarity is critical; reverse polarity will prevent activation. Power the strike with a fresh 9VDC alkaline battery and test activation before placing in service. The 5W power draw is moderate for alkaline operation; battery life depends on strike duty cycle (frequent vs. occasional activation). Environmental limits: use indoors or in covered entryways. Not rated for direct weather exposure or submersion.
