The STI-6200R operates on 12VDC supplied by standard access control power supplies and battery backup systems. It integrates with any access control panel or door lock controller capable of providing 12VDC strike activation. Installation typically pairs with electromagnetic lock hardware, access control readers (card, keypad, biometric), and centralized management systems that trigger both strike release and horn output. The polycarbonate housing and weatherproof design support both indoor and covered outdoor applications. Confirm your panel outputs 12VDC before installation.
Installation Notes
Mount the STI-6200R to the door frame using the supplied plastic anchors and fasteners (4× #8-10 x 7/8 in. anchors, 4× #8 x 1 in. screws provided). The unit is 51 mm (2 in.) deep—verify clearance within your door hardware pocket. A volume control jumper bridge is accessible on the circuit board; default configuration outputs 105 dB; bridge removal reduces output to 95 dB if site acoustics require attenuation. The device requires a 9V battery backup (supplied: one 9V battery; spare batteries are replaceable field units). Wire the strike activation and horn trigger from your access control panel to the terminal block on the PCB. Use the included deactivation/service cable to disable the horn during testing or maintenance without disrupting strike operation. Polycarbonate base and cover are tamper-resistant but not designed for full submersion.
