Overview
The STI STI-6210 is a theft-prevention lock designed to secure life rings against unauthorized removal in emergency response environments. A steel cable permanently crimped around the life ring handle triggers a 105dB alarm (selectable to 95dB) when the ring is pulled from its mounting position. The alarm activates only on removal — reinsertion silences it — and does not interfere with legitimate emergency access. Operates on a single 9VDC alkaline battery with no hardwired power required, making it suitable for pools, marine facilities, public buildings, and other locations where life ring theft or tampering must be deterred.

The STI-6210 mounts directly adjacent to standard life ring installations. The compact form factor (5 inches wide × 5 inches high × 2 inches deep) fits retrofit and new-build scenarios where emergency safety equipment security is mandated. Installation Notes
Mount the unit beside the life ring using the provided fasteners. The steel cable is pre-crimped at the factory — do not cut or modify it. A deactivation cable is provided for authorized maintenance personnel to temporarily disable the alarm without triggering it. Ensure the 9VDC alkaline battery is installed before deployment.
