Overview

The SS2109PX-EN is a green illuminated stopper station designed as a manual emergency override and egress control point in secured facilities. It integrates a 30VDC magnetic lock strike mechanism, meaning it functions as both a visual alert (illuminated button) and a hardwired release trigger for door strike systems. Deploy this where you need personnel to manually unlock a door under emergency conditions or controlled access scenarios—warehouse exits, secure document rooms, server cage entries, or compliance-driven egress points. The turn-to-reset design prevents accidental re-activation.

Compatibility

The SS2109PX-EN works with access control systems that supply 30VDC hardwired power and require mechanical strike activation via relay or contactor output. It is compatible with standard surface-mount and flush-mount door frame installations using the STI mounting plate ecosystem: KIT-102720 (12mm worldwide mounting plate, supplied standard) for flush mounts, or KIT-71100A (back box) for surface-mount on button types 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 series. If your door frame requires extended depth installation, KIT-71101B (back box with 12mm spacer) accommodates deeper cavity requirements. Consult your access control panel or strike release circuit documentation to confirm 30VDC availability and relay dry-contact or switched-output compatibility.

Installation Notes

Drilling requires 3/16 in. diameter holes for anchor fastening. Installation depth is approximately 1.25 in. when anchors are not used. NEMA Type 23 rating provides sealed protection against moisture and light dust ingress—suitable for indoor facilities but not outdoor or high-humidity washdown environments. Wiring connects the strike solenoid to your panel's 30VDC output via the included terminal block; consult the installation guide for proper polarity. The illuminated button draws power from the same 30VDC supply; ensure your power budget accommodates the combined solenoid (holding current ~500 mA typical for magnetic strikes) and indicator light draw. No additional transformer or separate control circuit needed if your panel already outputs 30VDC for strike control.
