STI SS2502LD-EN Key-to-Reset Push Button Stopper Station
The SS2502LD-EN is an illuminated, key-to-reset push button module built into the STI Stopper Station line, designed for access control and door-release points where you need a visible, physically resettable actuator instead of a self-resetting push button. The key-to-reset function means the button stays latched after activation until a keyholder physically resets it — the right call for egress or emergency-release points where you want a documented, deliberate reset step rather than an automatic one. The LED ring runs on 12-24VAC/VDC and draws from the base station's 30VDC supply, so the button stays visible in low-light corridors and mechanical rooms without adding a separate illumination circuit.
Compatibility
SS2502LD-EN is a component button module for the STI SS2xx-series Stopper Station enclosures (the SS2xx0/x1/x3/x4 and SS2xx2/x5/x6/x7/x8/x9 families). Mounting hardware differs by station body style, so confirm which enclosure family you're pairing it with before ordering plates or back boxes — flush-mount and surface-mount kits are not interchangeable across the two families.
Installation Notes
Flush mounting (button types 2, 5, 6, 8, 9) uses the 12mm Worldwide Mounting Plate/Spacer, supplied standard with all button types. If you're surface mounting types 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 instead, order the surface-mount back box separately — the flush-mount plate that ships in the box gets discarded, not reused. Button types 0, 1, 3, and 4 need extra depth: pair the back box with the 12mm spacer for correct clearance. Getting the mount type wrong at order time means a second parts order before the door opening is functional, so confirm flush vs. surface vs. extended-depth against the actual enclosure body before purchase. The switch block itself provides one N.O. and one N.C. contact for wiring into a controller or relay circuit.
