STI SS2309PO-EN Stopper Station Push Button
Overview
The SS2309PO-EN is a push-button-activated stopper station with turn-to-reset operation, designed for access control systems requiring manual release control at door entry points. Operating at 30VDC, this unit deploys a magnetic lock strike to hold the door in a secured state until the button is pressed and rotated to reset — standard for emergency egress routes, secure corridors, and controlled-access vestibules where you need positive confirmation that the door is locked, not just electronically latched.
Compatibility
The SS2309PO-EN integrates into any access control system equipped for 30VDC solenoid or magnetic strike operation. It is part of the STI Stopper Station family (SS2xx0–SS2xx9 series) and works with standard door frame installations supporting either flush-mount or surface-mount configurations. Verify that your access control panel or relay module provides 30VDC output capable of sustaining the strike hold current; if your panel outputs 12VDC or uses lower voltage, this unit will not function. Confirm door frame depth and material (steel, aluminum, or composite) before ordering, as mounting depth varies: 1.25 inches with anchors omitted, deeper with extended mounting plates (KIT-71101B optional).
Installation Notes
Mounting requires drilling 3/16-inch-diameter holes in the door frame. The unit ships with a 12mm worldwide mounting plate (KIT-102720) suitable for flush mounting; surface-mount installations require KIT-71100A (ordered separately). For button types 0, 1, 3, and 4, additional mounting depth is needed — add the 12mm spacer (part of KIT-71101B) to prevent interference. Wiring connects directly to the 30VDC supply; use appropriately rated cable for the strike current draw. Test the turn-to-reset mechanism after installation to ensure smooth manual operation without binding.
