Overview
The STI-7510C is a clear polycarbonate enclosure with open back box design for flush mount installation over electronic access control hardware. Unlike closed cabinets, the open back allows you to mount the enclosure after lock or strike hardware is already in place — eliminating the need to disassemble and remount components during retrofit or new construction. The UV-stabilized polycarbonate is the same material used in protective applications requiring vandal resistance; it guards against accidental damage and deliberate tampering without obscuring visibility of the device inside. The STI-7510C supports key lock or thumb lock variants and includes tamperproof mounting screws and an additional eyelet for a secondary padlock or safety seal.
Compatibility
The STI-7510C works with STI lock and strike hardware designed for flush mount door frame installations. The open back structure accommodates standard electronic lock mechanisms, annunciators, and fire alarm control panels. The polycarbonate enclosure operates within a working temperature range of −40°F to 250°F (−40°C to 121°C), suitable for most indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. External mounting tabs and tamperproof screws are included. Installation requires no special tools beyond a standard screwdriver. Ensure the mounting surface (door frame or wall) is clean and dry before fastening. The open back design means rear wiring and connections remain accessible after the enclosure is mounted — plan your conduit and power routing before final installation to avoid obstruction by the mounting hardware.
