STI STI-7510D Polycarbonate Enclosure with Open Conduit Back Box
Overview
The STI-7510D is a surface-mount polycarbonate enclosure with an open conduit back box, designed to house access control readers, annunciators, and strike hardware in retrofit and new-build deployments. The clear UV-stabilized polycarbonate construction allows visibility at any angle while protecting mounted devices from vandalism, accidental impact, and environmental exposure. The open back box configuration supports field wiring and conduit integration without requiring dismounting of existing hardware — a key advantage when retrofitting onto already-installed readers or fire alarm panels.
Compatibility
The STI-7510D pairs with STI protective cabinet models STI-7520OB (key lock) and STI-7521OB (thumb lock) as compatible mounting partners. The open back box is designed to slip over previously mounted access control readers, strike components, and remote annunciators. Standard electrical conduit connections are supported, enabling integration into existing field-wired access control topologies. External mounting tabs and included hardware allow direct surface mounting to walls or frame structures in typical commercial and industrial access control installations.
Installation Notes
The enclosure mounts externally with provided tamperproof mounting screws, which resist casual tool removal. Polycarbonate operating range is −40°F to 250°F (−40°C to 121°C), suitable for indoor commercial spaces and temperature-controlled outdoor cabinets. The design accommodates an additional eyelet for secondary padlock or safety seal attachment. Complete mounting hardware is included; no special tools are required beyond standard installation fasteners for wall or conduit hub mounting.
