Overview
The STI EP080805-T is a 7-door networked access control housing built from injection-molded polycarbonate with RAL 7035 gray finish. It houses an access controller in a weather-resistant enclosure rated UL/cUL (6 EP242410-O) — the right choice when you need to mount an access control module in a corridor, exterior breezeway, or light-duty industrial area where metal enclosures trap moisture or UV exposure degrades steel finish. The 44dB(A) sound output supports audible feedback integration without exceeding typical office or retail ambient levels.
Compatibility
The EP080805-T integrates into networked access control systems communicating via TCP/IP. It supports 7 doors per controller, making it suitable for small-to-medium facility deployments — office suites, retail chains with multiple locations, or warehouse access points requiring centralized management. Mount it alongside any TCP/IP-enabled access control platform that uses standard door strike modules and reader wiring.
Installation Notes
The enclosure accepts standard conduit knockouts sized for ½ inch to 2 inch hubs — use a Greenlee cutter to prepare holes from inside the enclosure to prevent stress on polycarbonate walls. Ground the enclosure per The Canadian Electrical Code if metallic conduit is used; non-metallic conduit does not require a separate grounding bushing. Align conduit carefully to avoid unnecessary bending stress on the housing. Secure the conduit connector locknut firmly to maintain environmental sealing.
