Description

STI STI-9645 Emergency Light Damage Stopper

Overview

The STI-9645 is a wire cage designed to protect emergency lighting fixtures from physical damage in high-traffic security environments. This accessory shields light heads and sensors from accidental or intentional impact — a critical concern in facilities where emergency systems must remain operational and inspectable. The cage mounts directly to walls or ceilings using six anchor points, holding the protective grid firmly in place while allowing visual access to the light fixture itself.

Compatibility

The STI-9645 is a generic protective cage compatible with standard emergency light fixtures and smoke detector installations across most commercial building types. It fits typical wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted emergency lighting assemblies. Mounting uses standard 1/4-inch anchors and Phillips pan-head screws — hardware compatible with drywall, concrete, and standard commercial interior finishes.

Installation Notes

Installation requires marking six hole locations, drilling 1/4-inch diameter holes to 1-1/2-inch depth, inserting provided anchors, positioning the cage, and securing with the included Phillips screws. The cage is approximately 16.57 inches (421 mm) wide and tall, with a depth of 14.47 inches (367 mm). All hardware — six anchors and six 1-1/2-inch Phillips pan-head screws — is included. No special tools beyond a 1/4-inch drill bit are needed. Mounting surface must be solid enough to accept standard anchors; consult site conditions before installation on damaged or soft finishes.
