The STI-9635 is a 14.25-inch wire protective cage designed to shield standard institutional clocks and bell assemblies from accidental damage and deliberate tampering. Install this where clocks or bell systems sit exposed in high-traffic or unsecured areas—educational facilities, correctional institutions, public buildings, transit stations—anywhere equipment faces routine wear or intentional interference. The cage mounts directly over your existing fixture with supplied hardware, requiring no modification to the underlying device.
Compatibility
The STI-9635 accommodates clock and bell assemblies with a maximum internal diameter of 12 inches and a maximum depth of 3.65 inches. Verify your fixture's dimensions against these limits before ordering. This product integrates with standard STI clock and bell product lines. If your assembly exceeds 12 inches diameter or 3.65 inches depth, consider the STI-9636 (18-inch diameter) or STI-9637 (24-inch diameter) variants in the same protective cover family.
Installation Notes
Mount using the four provided stainless-steel mounting clamps and lag bolts or anchor screws. The installation template requires drilling four 3/16-inch (5mm) holes around the perimeter; the datasheet provides a pictorial drilling guide. Center the cage over your existing clock or bell, locate clamp positions, mark and drill, then secure with the supplied fasteners. For tamperproof installations, order optional KIT-82 (stainless-steel security screws with corresponding bit). Lag bolts should be selected to ensure full thread engagement in anchors; position the guard flush with the surface before tightening.
