STI STI-9636 Clock/Bell Damage Stopper Protective Guard

Overview

The STI-9636 is an 18-inch wire cage designed to shield clock and bell installations from physical impact, vandalism, and accidental damage in high-traffic commercial, educational, and facility environments. The guard mounts around existing mounted clocks or bells without requiring device modification, using four anchor points and standard fasteners. This is a passive protective barrier — it prevents contact damage without electrical integration or active monitoring.

Compatibility

The STI-9636 fits clocks and bells with a maximum internal diameter of 12 inches and a maximum internal depth of 3.65 inches. The outer guard width is 20.75 inches. This cage is part of the STI damage stopper line (STI-9635, STI-9636, STI-9637) and works with any wall-mounted clock or bell meeting the dimensional constraints — no proprietary integration required. The guard is compatible with standard lag bolt and stainless steel screw anchor systems.

Installation Notes

Center the guard over the target device and mark four (4) mounting holes using the 3/16-inch (5 mm) drill template provided. Mount using the four supplied mounting clamps and anchor bolts. For lag bolt installations, ensure anchors are flush with the mounting surface and select bolt length to achieve full thread engagement. For tamper-resistant deployments, substitute KIT-82 stainless steel screws (requires 19038 bit driver). Maximum object/internal depth is 3.65 inches — verify clearance before installation to avoid binding.
