Overview

The KIT-901 is a clear 2-inch spacer designed to mount between an STI-9105 electric strike and the door frame. It compensates for frame thickness variations and misalignment conditions that prevent reliable strike engagement. Install this when standard frame-to-strike gap exceeds the strike's normal mounting depth, or when frame material (wood, steel, composite) requires offset to achieve proper electromagnetic latch positioning at 9VDC.

Compatibility

Designed exclusively for the STI-9105 electric strike. Do not use with other strike families — the 2-inch depth and mounting hole pattern are specific to the 9105 series. Verify your strike model before ordering.

Installation Notes

Position the spacer between the strike body and frame. Align mounting holes with the strike's original fastener pattern. Use the provided fasteners to secure the spacer to the frame, then bolt the strike to the spacer. Ensure the strike face is flush and perpendicular to the door's closing edge — misalignment introduces binding and reduces solenoid life. Clear polycarbonate construction allows visual inspection of strike alignment without disassembly.
