Overview

The KIT-G82599 is a replacement gasket assembly for the STI-6516 electric strike. This is a wear item — when the original gasket compresses or tears, sealing around the strike frame degrades, compromising weatherproofing and allowing drafts, dust, or moisture into the strike cavity. This gasket restores that seal. Install it when you notice draft around the strike or during routine preventive maintenance on high-traffic doors.

Compatibility

This gasket is designed specifically for the STI-6516 electric strike operating at 9VDC. It fits the strike frame geometry and cable entry points of the 6516 series. Do not attempt to use this gasket with other strike models — gasket geometry is strike-specific, and a mismatched gasket will not seat properly or provide adequate sealing.

Installation Notes

Position the gasket over the strike before mounting the frame or cover plate. The gasket sits between the strike body and the protective cover or frame — standard masonry drill and wall fasteners (7mm holes) are typical.
