STI STI-1331 Universal Stopper® Electric Strike
Overview
The STI-1331 is a 9VDC electric strike engineered as a retrofit or new-build unlock device for standard door frame configurations. It provides electromagnetic release via relay command from access control panels, credential readers, or request-to-exit buttons. Deploy it where you need credential-based access without replacing the door frame — the Universal Stopper® form factor accommodates typical commercial and institutional door openings.
Compatibility
The STI-1331 integrates with access control systems using 12V relay closure or NC/NO contact outputs. It operates at 9VDC, aligning with standard access control power supplies and battery backup units common in commercial deployments. Verify your panel or power supply can deliver sufficient current for continuous duty or solenoid hold — most modern panels do, but 24V systems require a buck converter or dedicated 9V supply. Works with standard electromagnetic lock wiring practices and conduit layouts.
Installation Notes
Mount the strike to the door frame using the provided hardware; drilling and alignment are critical for smooth latch engagement. Use a 7mm masonry drill bit for concrete or block surfaces. Seal unused conduit entry holes with the inserts provided in the installation kit to prevent water ingress and debris accumulation — particularly important in outdoor or high-humidity environments. Route 9VDC supply and relay leads through conduit; keep shielding away from high-current power lines to avoid inductive noise on the control signal.
