Overview
The STI-13200NC is a surface-mounted protective enclosure designed to shield intercoms, keypads, emergency buttons, and fire alarm stations from vandalism, accidental impact, dust, and weathering. The clear polycarbonate dome allows full visibility of the protected device while the low-profile mounting footprint complies with ADA dimensional standards. This model is supplied without horn housing, making it suitable for retrofit applications where the intercom unit is already installed or where audio amplification is handled separately. The 24VDC operating voltage integrates directly with standard access control and emergency communication systems.
Compatibility
The STI-13200NC works with STI Universal Stopper system deployments and compatible access control architectures that support 24VDC powered devices. It accommodates most standard fire alarm manual stations, numeric keypads for entry systems, intercom stations, emergency push buttons, and electrical light switches or receptacles without restricting legitimate use. The enclosure is sized to integrate into single and multi-door access control configurations where audio communication and visual feedback are required at access points. The internal sealed or open backplate option supports flexible mounting configurations depending on your wiring infrastructure.
Installation Notes
Surface mount installation uses the internal mounting plate supplied with the unit. The waterproof-rated housing features threaded inlets for ¾-inch rigid conduit on top and bottom surfaces, providing secure wire entry points and environmental sealing. Gaskets are included for weathertight assembly. The integral hinge mechanism is solid-construction for high-cycle use. An optional relay output (12–24VDC) is available for integration with external alarm or notification systems. Low-profile design means clearance above the enclosure is minimal—verify overhead space before installation. The polycarbonate material is UV-stabilized to prevent yellowing and maintain transparency over years of outdoor or bright indoor exposure. A locking tab is molded into the hinge but should not be used on fire alarm stations per code requirements.
