STI STI-14010NY Low Profile Flush Mount Intercom
Overview
The STI-14010NY is a low-profile, flush-mount protective enclosure designed to guard door intercoms, keypads, emergency buttons, and communication devices in both indoor and outdoor environments. This Universal Stopper model operates at 24VDC and is configured without a horn and without label — a clean aesthetic for installations where voice communication must be accessible but visual/auditory alarm functions are handled elsewhere in the security system. The polycarbonate cover is UV-stabilized and molded in heavy-gauge material to resist vandalism, accidental impact, dust, and aggressive environments. The model fits ADA low-profile compliance requirements and accommodates relay output wiring for 12–24VDC switching logic.
Compatibility
The STI-14010NY integrates into multi-door access control and intercom deployments where protection of endpoint devices is required. It is compatible with standard fire alarm pull stations, numeric keypads for credential entry, intercom stations, emergency call buttons, and electrical switches mounted behind the protective enclosure. The flush-mount configuration supports both new construction and retrofit scenarios on flat wall surfaces. The enclosure is available in both recessed (flush) and surface-mount variants; the STI-14010NY is the flush option. Optional water-resistant housing with sealed internal mounting plate is available for outdoor or wet-environment installations. ¾-inch rigid conduit threads on upper and lower sections of water-resistant versions accommodate standard electrical outlet boxes.
Installation Notes
The enclosure includes integral hinges and mounting hardware. Gaskets are included for sealed variants. A lockable tab mechanism is molded into the design (note: not recommended for fire alarm applications due to access delays). Dimensioning accommodates most standard fire alarm stations and intercom modules. The 24VDC supply should be run through the protected conduit entry points. UV-stabilized polycarbonate maintains optical clarity over extended outdoor exposure. No special tools beyond standard installation hardware are required for mounting; confirm wall or device-mounting surface is solid and flat before installation.
