Overview

The STI-14200NC is a low-profile Universal Stopper protective housing for surface-mount intercom stations, emergency buttons, numeric keypads, and fire alarm pull stations. Operating at 24VDC with no horn housing, this unit reduces profile footprint in space-constrained or aesthetically integrated installations. The heavy-gauge polycarbonate cover resists vandalism, accidental damage, dust, and aggressive indoor/outdoor environments — a key requirement where protective housings must maintain transparency for visual inspection.

Compatibility

The STI-14200NC suits fire alarm manual stations, numeric entry keypads, intercom stations, emergency switches, and electrical light switches. Surface-mount configuration integrates with standard 24VDC access control and intercom infrastructure. The universal design accommodates most common door control and communication device footprints. Verify mounting footprint against your specific intercom or button station before ordering — the housing is dimensioned to adapt to typical fire alarm and communication endpoints, but not all models.

Installation Notes

Surface-mount installation uses the internal sealed or open mounting plate included with the unit. The polycarbonate cover includes integral hinges and latch tabs (note: latch tabs should not be used with fire alarm stations due to ADA compliance and emergency access requirements). The waterproof enclosure body is threaded at top and bottom for ¾-inch rigid conduit connections, supporting both indoor and outdoor deployments. Optional 12–24VDC relay output is available for integration with door strike or remote signaling circuits. UV-stabilized polycarbonate maintains clarity over time. Gaskets are included.
