STI STI-6931-W Call Point Stopper Surface Mount
Overview
The STI-6931-W is a white surface-mount call point stopper—a protective cover that prevents accidental or malicious activation of electrical switches and emergency call points without restricting legitimate operation. Molded from tough clear polycarbonate with an integral stainless steel torsion spring hinge, the STI-6931-W mounts directly to walls in schools, hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, and public buildings where foot traffic and untrained users create activation risk.
Compatibility
The STI-6931-W is designed for surface-mount installation on a wide range of electrical switches and call points requiring protective cover without disabling access. It accepts standard conduit, cable, and trunking entry via the surface spacer and mounting block, making it compatible with most wall-mounted emergency call systems regardless of underlying switch mechanism or communication standard.
Installation Notes
The STI-6931-W uses a two-stage surface-mount process. First, position the spacer centrally over the device, mark the four fixing holes, and drill with a 7mm masonry bit. Insert size 8–12 rawl plugs (provided) into drilled holes and secure the spacer with four fixings (provided). Then position the polycarbonate cover over the spacer, mark the two hinge-mounting holes, drill with a 5mm masonry bit, insert size 4–8 rawl plugs (provided), and secure the cover to the spacer using the fixings already located in the spacer. The surface spacer provides cable routing for conduit and trunking depending on your installation method. Total mounting depth adds approximately 23mm from the wall surface.
