STI STI-13210NB Universal Stopper Surface Mount
Overview
The STI-13210NB is a surface-mounted protective enclosure—a Universal Stopper without horn or factory labeling—designed to shield access control hardware from vandalism, accidental damage, dust, and weather in indoor and outdoor environments. Install this over manual fire alarm stations, numeric keypads, intercom stations, emergency buttons, or electrical switches where you need a transparent polycarbonate barrier that lets users see and operate the protected device without removing a cover. The 24VDC operating voltage integrates with standard access control power architectures. Surface mounting means no flush-mount preparation required—faster retrofit installation on existing door frames and wall surfaces.
Compatibility
The STI-13210NB fits standard manual alarm stations and low-profile access control devices. It is compatible with 24VDC powered intercom and door-control systems. Surface-mount configuration suits both new construction and retrofit applications where flush-mount enclosures are impractical. The unit accepts optional 12–24VDC relay output for integration with external control logic. Sealed or open internal mounting plates available to accommodate different wiring requirements.
Installation Notes
The enclosure accepts rigid 3/4-inch conduit on both top and bottom for weatherproof cable entry. Polycarbonate cover is UV-stabilized to prevent yellowing in outdoor sunlight. Integral hinge provides high resistance to forced opening. Low-profile design meets ADA clearance standards for door approach. Gasket seals included. A locking tab is molded into the lid but should not be used on fire alarm stations due to code restrictions.
