STI STI-6931 Call Point Stopper Surface Mount Lock
Overview
The STI-6931 is a clear polycarbonate cover assembly designed to prevent unauthorized or accidental activation of electrical call points and switches in institutional environments. It mounts directly to the wall surface using two 6 x 1.5" screws and features a hinged stainless steel torsion spring mechanism that keeps the cover closed when not in use. The device is molded from tough clear polycarbonate, allowing visual confirmation of the protected switch while maintaining physical barrier control. Install time is minimal — mark, drill, and secure to any wall surface where accidental or malicious switch activation poses a risk.
Compatibility
The STI-6931 pairs with a wide range of standard electrical call points and switches commonly deployed in schools, colleges, hospitals, nursing homes, and public buildings. It works with both the STI-6930 (flush-mount variant) and its own surface-mount form factor. The device accommodates conduit, cable, and trunking entry through the spacer; consult the installation guide for insert configuration matching your wiring scheme.
Installation Notes
Surface mount installation requires two 5mm masonry drill holes and two size 4-8 rawl plugs (provided). Position the call point stopper centrally over the protected device, mark the two fixing holes, drill, insert the plugs, and secure with the two screws provided. The surface spacer includes cable entry facilities — fit the required inserts based on whether you're running conduit, cable trunking, or surface wiring. Mounting hardware is included; no additional fasteners are required.
