Overview
The ACKIT2DRB is a foundational two-door access control system centered on the A2E4 controller running embedded Linux. It processes 45+ transactions per second and ships with the core controller (integrated power supply), two Wiegand readers (one pair per door), and dual Form C relays rated 24V @ 2.0A — enough for electric strikes, magnetic locks, or auxiliary signaling. This bundle fits small office buildings, warehouse loading docks, educational facilities, and multi-tenant spaces where you need reliable personnel authentication at two independent entry points without overbuying.
Compatibility
The ACKIT2DRB controller integrates with any Wiegand-standard reader (125 kHz proximity cards, proximity key fobs, or multi-technology readers sourced separately). Each door supports Request to Exit (REX) inputs, door position sensors (DPS), and general-purpose auxiliary inputs. The system is UL 294 Series 7 listed and NDAA-compliant, making it suitable for federal and commercial procurement. Expansion to four doors is possible via the optional A2M expansion board — allows independent reader assignment and scales the relay count without replacing hardware.
Installation Notes
The enclosure measures 14.25 × 14.25 × 3.75 inches and draws 115VAC @ 1.5A. Operating temperature range is 50°F to 95°F (10°C to 35°C). Each reader draws 300 mA @ 12V max from the integrated power supply. Door inputs (REX, DPS, aux) are digital; wire them to normally-open or normally-closed dry contacts depending on your lock and sensor hardware. The system includes tamper and power-fault detection via digital inputs — useful for alerting on enclosure intrusion or supply failure. Mount the enclosure in an accessible but secured location (electrical room, server cabinet, wall-mounted near the door controllers).
