Overview
The RLNK-415R is a compact 1U rackmount power distribution unit from Middle Atlantic's Select Series, designed for AV and security equipment racks where per-outlet monitoring or remote switching is needed without a full enterprise-grade PDU. The RLNK-415R draws from a standard NEMA 5-15P plug on a 9 ft (2.7 m) cord — no dedicated circuit or special wiring required for typical 15A branch circuits — and distributes power across 4 individually controlled IEC outlets. Outlet Control Type 4 means each of the four outlets can be independently switched via RackLink, which matters when you need to power-cycle a single NVR or switch without dropping the rest of the rack. Basic surge protection is included, providing a first layer of defense against transient spikes without the cost or complexity of a full MOV-based protection system.
Compatibility
The RLNK-415R is designed for use within Middle Atlantic rack systems and integrates with the RackLink intelligent power management platform for remote outlet control and monitoring. It fits standard 19-inch EIA equipment racks and is compatible with Middle Atlantic's ERK, WRK, and BGR rack enclosure families. The compact mounting style (8.76 in wide × 1.74 in tall × 9.67 in deep) suits both shallow and full-depth rack configurations. It is suited for powering NVRs, PoE network switches, and AV processors in rackmount PDU installations where a 15A single-circuit load is sufficient. Not rated for international use — 120V North American installations only. TAA non-compliant; not suitable for federal procurement requirements. Review your rack power planning before deployment to confirm circuit capacity against total device load.
Installation Notes
The 5-15P plug connects to any standard 15A/120V duplex outlet or dedicated branch circuit. Total connected load across all four outlets must not exceed 15A (1,800W at 120V) — exceeding this risks nuisance tripping at the branch breaker. The powder-coat steel chassis mounts in a compact form factor suitable for toolless or standard rail mounting within Middle Atlantic rack frames. IEC outlet format accommodates standard C13/C14 IEC power cords for rack-mounted equipment. RackLink integration requires a network connection and compatible RackLink controller or software — verify RackLink software version compatibility before deployment in managed environments.
