Middle Atlantic RLNK-P915R-SP Premium+ PDU with RackLink and Series Surge Protection
Overview
The RLNK-P915R-SP is Middle Atlantic's Premium+ intelligent rack PDU with RackLink network control — a 9-outlet, 15A unit built for rack-mounted AV, security, and IT equipment that needs both remote power management and surge protection in a single 1U device. It accepts 80–140V AC input, making it tolerant of the voltage sag common in commercial building power environments, and exposes a LAN port for out-of-band control via RackLink software. The NEMA 5-15R receptacles accept standard North American plugs directly — no adapters required for typical NVRs, switches, or encoders. Series surge protection (patent no. 844) filters surge energy in-line rather than shunting it, which avoids the ground contamination that can affect sensitive security and AV equipment downstream.
Compatibility
Designed for standard 19-inch EIA rack enclosures — compatible with Middle Atlantic rack systems including the ERK, BGR, and SRSR series, as well as third-party 19-inch racks. The LAN-based RackLink control interface integrates with Middle Atlantic's RackLink software for per-outlet switching, scheduling, and monitoring. The 9× NEMA 5-15R outlets accommodate rack-mount devices drawing up to 15A aggregate — appropriate for a typical NVR, PoE switch, and ancillary security equipment mix. For deployments using rack power distribution in surveillance or access control head-end closets, the 15A single-circuit rating suits standard 15A or 20A branch circuits with a properly derated load (NEC 80% rule: plan for no more than 12A continuous). Installation Notes
Mounts in a standard 19-inch rack bay. The LAN port requires a network drop to the rack for RackLink connectivity — plan the cable path before installation. Input cord connects to a standard NEMA 5-15P or 5-20R receptacle; verify branch circuit capacity before loading. Shipping weight is 13 lbs (5.9 kg) — account for this when calculating rack load ratings. UL Listed.
