Middle Atlantic RLNK-P920R-SP Premium+ PDU with RackLink Network Control
Overview
The RLNK-P920R-SP is a 9-outlet, 20A rackmount PDU from Middle Atlantic's Premium+ line, built for rack-mounted AV and security infrastructure where remote power control matters. The RackLink LAN port lets you monitor, reboot, and sequence individual outlets over the network — useful in unmanned IDF closets or remote security head-end racks where a truck roll to power-cycle a frozen NVR isn't acceptable. Series surge protection filters transients upstream before they reach connected equipment, rather than simply clamping after the fact. Input voltage range runs 80–140V AC, covering normal 120V service with margin for brown-out conditions. All nine receptacles are NEMA 5-20R, meaning the 20A blade configuration physically prevents accidental connection to 15A-only PDUs — a deliberate mismatch guard for circuits feeding high-draw encoders or UPS-backed panels. UL Listed. Not TAA compliant and not available for international deployment.
Compatibility
Designed to mount in standard 19-inch EIA racks common to Middle Atlantic's own rack enclosure lines (including the RK, ERK, and BGR series), and compatible with any rack accepting 1U horizontal PDU form factors. The NEMA 5-20R outlets accept standard NEMA 5-20P plugs and are backward-compatible with NEMA 5-15P equipment — NVRs, managed PoE switches, access control panels, and AV amplifiers running on 15A cords will plug in without adapters. RackLink LAN connectivity integrates with Middle Atlantic's RackLink software for outlet-level scheduling and remote reboot; this requires a live Ethernet connection to your management network. Pair with compatible network video recorders or managed switches in the same rack for full remote power management of a security head-end. Installation Notes
Input circuit must be a dedicated 20A branch circuit terminated with a NEMA 5-20P or L5-20P source receptacle — do not feed this PDU from a 15A circuit or shared branch. The LAN port requires a separate Ethernet drop to the management VLAN; plan this run during rough-in. Shipping weight is 13 lbs (5.9 kg), so factor rack rail load ratings when populating adjacent 1U equipment above and below. Not rated for outdoor or high-humidity environments — install in a conditioned, enclosed rack enclosure only.
