Overview

The RLNK-P920R is Middle Atlantic's Premium+ PDU with RackLink — a 9-outlet, 20-amp intelligent power distribution unit built for AV and security equipment racks where remote power management matters. The unit accepts 80–140V AC input and delivers 20A across nine NEMA 5-20R receptacles, giving rack integrators the flexibility to distribute power to cameras, NVRs, switches, and other 15A or 20A-receptacle-compatible equipment from a single managed source. The LAN output port enables RackLink network connectivity, so you can monitor, reboot, and control individual outlets remotely without physical rack access — a meaningful capability in distributed deployments where equipment rooms aren't always staffed.

The 2-stage surge protection architecture provides a more defensible protection path than single-stage designs: the first stage clamps large transient spikes; the second stage handles residual energy before it reaches connected equipment. For surveillance infrastructure — NVRs, managed switches, access controllers — this matters more than it does for consumer AV. The RLNK-P920R carries UL listing and is sourced factory-new through US distribution channels.

Compatibility

The RLNK-P920R fits standard 1U rack positions and is compatible with Middle Atlantic equipment racks and enclosures across the ERK, WRK, and BGR series, as well as any rack accepting a 19-inch 1U form factor. NEMA 5-20R outlets accept both NEMA 5-15P and NEMA 5-20P plugs, covering the full range of standard rack-mounted security and AV hardware. RackLink integration is compatible with Middle Atlantic's RackLink ecosystem for managed power and monitoring. This unit is not rated for international use and requires a 15A or 20A branch circuit with a NEMA L5-20P or 5-20P source plug.

Installation Notes

Requires a dedicated 20A branch circuit to reach the full 20A capacity — a standard 15A circuit limits usable load to 12A (80% NEC rule applies either way; derate to 16A on a 20A circuit for continuous loads). The LAN port requires a network drop at the rack for RackLink remote access. Input voltage range of 80–140V means this unit will operate through moderate browndowns, but it is not a UPS — pair it with a UPS or battery backup if uptime is critical. Shipping weight is 13 lbs; plan rack weight budgets accordingly for fully loaded enclosures.
