Overview
The Middle Atlantic RLNK-1615V is a 16-outlet, 15-amp vertical rack power distribution unit from the Middle Atlantic Select Series line, designed for high-density equipment racks where horizontal PDUs waste valuable rack space. Mounting vertically along the rear or side of the cabinet, the RLNK-1615V puts all 16 IEC outlets within reach of gear throughout the rack without the cable-management headaches of a horizontal strip. RackLink outlet control gives you per-outlet switching capability — useful for remotely cycling power on locked-in network gear or sequencing boot order across a surveillance or AV rack without dispatching a technician. The 9 ft (2.7 m) cord with a standard 5-15P plug reaches a wall circuit directly; no special wiring or step-down transformer needed for standard US 15A branch circuits. Basic surge protection is included, providing a first layer of transient defense for connected equipment.
Compatibility
The RLNK-1615V fits any standard EIA-310 equipment rack accepting vertical PDU mounting — Middle Atlantic ERK, BGR, and similar rack enclosures with rear vertical channels are the primary targets. The 5-15P plug requires a standard 15A NEMA 5-15R outlet; it will not mate with 20A (5-20R) circuits without an adapter. IEC C13/C14 outlets accommodate the vast majority of 1U/2U rack-mount devices: NVRs, network switches, PoE injectors, video encoders, and similar equipment drawing standard loads. Verify total connected load stays within the single 15A circuit — 16 outlets on one circuit means load discipline matters. TAA-compliant installations should note this unit is not TAA compliant and is not available for international shipment.
