The AP8841 is a 0U vertical rack PDU delivering 30A of single-phase 208V power across 42 outlets — 36 IEC C13 and 6 IEC C19 — from a single NEMA L6-30P input. It installs tool-free in the vertical channel of a standard 2-post or 4-post rack, preserving every rack unit for active equipment. At 4,992VA/4.99kW load capacity with a regulatory derated draw of 24A, it's sized for dense server, storage, and networking deployments where you need real-time visibility into rack-level consumption without per-outlet switching. The built-in Ethernet management port exposes current, voltage, and load data via SNMP v1/v2c/v3, HTTPS, SSH, and Telnet — integrating directly into data center infrastructure management (DCIM) or NMS platforms. Configurable thresholds trigger email and SNMP trap alerts before a circuit trips, which matters in lights-out environments. The AP8841 does not provide outlet-level switching or per-outlet metering; it is a metered-only unit. If per-outlet control or individual outlet metering is a requirement, a different SKU in the APC Switched or Metered-by-Outlet families is the correct choice.
The AP8841 is compatible with standard IEC C13 and IEC C19 power cords, covering virtually all 1U/2U servers, rack switches, patch panels, SAN/NAS enclosures, and KVM switches that ship with IEC power leads. The NEMA L6-30P input requires a matching 30A/208V branch circuit — confirm your PDU panel or in-row UPS output matches before ordering.
