Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP7850B Metered PDU

Overview

The APC AP7850B is a vertical, 0U rack-mountable Power Distribution Unit (PDU) designed for IT environments where monitoring of power consumption at the outlet level is critical. It provides 16 C13 outlets and a total load capacity of 2300 VA/2300 W, suitable for densely populated server racks. The unit supports nominal input voltages of 200-250 V and operates within a 47/63 Hz frequency range, making it suitable for standard commercial power grids. Its integrated monitoring capabilities provide real-time data on current, voltage, and power, enabling better capacity planning and fault detection.

Compatibility

This PDU is designed for standard 19-inch racks and is compatible with a wide range of server, networking, and IT equipment that utilize C13 power cords. The C14 coupler input allows it to connect to standard PDU power cords or UPS outputs. It is suitable for deployment with standard rack-mount servers, network switches, and other IT infrastructure components that do not exceed its 10 A maximum current draw per phase.

Installation Notes

The AP7850B mounts vertically in a rack, consuming no horizontal rack units (0U). Its 3.05-meter cable length offers flexibility in routing power within a rack. The unit requires a 200-250 V power source capable of supplying at least 10 A. LED indicators provide status feedback on the unit's operation and outlet status.
