The hot-swappable Interchangeable Monitoring Device (IMD-5M) handles serial communication and environmental monitoring via dual gigabit Ethernet ports — so you can replace or upgrade the monitoring module without taking down connected equipment. Input-level monitoring gives ops teams remote visibility into load across the PDU, which is the minimum telemetry most DCIM platforms need to trigger threshold alerts and prevent circuit overloads before they happen.

Installation Notes

The 1P+N+E (IP44) input plug is not a standard NEMA connector — verify your facility's PDU whips or in-row distribution matches this plug type before ordering. At 19 lbs, two-person installation is practical for overhead vertical mounting.
