Overview

The Viking Electronics K-1500P-W is a red, no-keypad wall phone designed for single-function alerting and ring notification in commercial facilities where dialing capability is unnecessary or undesirable. Powered entirely by the telephone line via a single RJ11W plug, the K-1500P-W installs anywhere you can land a POTS pair — no separate power supply, no outlet proximity required. The red housing makes it immediately identifiable as an emergency or alerting station, suited for warehouses, mechanical rooms, parking structures, and access corridors where a standard desk phone would be impractical.

Compatibility

The K-1500P-W connects to any standard analog telephone line (POTS) or analog port on a PBX or key system that provides loop current via RJ11. It is part of Viking Electronics' K-1500 series, which includes color and keypad variants — the K-1500P-ASH (ash/no keypad) shares identical dimensions and specs, while the K-1500P-D (desk mount) uses a rotated footprint at equivalent weight. All K-1500 variants draw power from the telephone line, so downstream ATA adapters feeding analog ports from a VoIP gateway work as long as the adapter supplies standard loop current. Not compatible with digital extension ports that do not provide analog loop current.
