The Panduit F8RNM5ENNABM100 is a factory-terminated, 864-fiber OS2 singlemode trunk cable assembly in a 100-meter (328.1 ft) run — built for high-density fiber optic infrastructure deployments where pulling and terminating hundreds of fibers on-site is not an option. The MPO Female connectors on both ends allow direct plug-in to MPO-based patching systems, eliminating field termination labor and the splice loss variability that comes with it. At 864 fibers in a single sheath, this assembly is sized for spine-layer interconnects in hyperscale data centers, large telecommunications rooms, and campus entrance facility crossconnects where aggregate bandwidth demands have outgrown smaller-count trunks.

OS2 singlemode glass (9/125µm) per ITU-T G.652.D delivers the low attenuation and high bandwidth ceiling required for 100G, 400G, and beyond — distance and speed limitations that would constrain multimode simply don't apply here.
